This year’s Chief Joseph Trail Ride started at Pilot Creek camp near Cooke City, Montana, but technically in Wyoming. Approximately 140 riders experienced one of the prettiest segments of the Nez Perce Trail, traveling in the Clark’s Fork country. Scenery was spectacular and the trail was well scouted thanks to folks with Shoshone National Forest. The really good news is that we had no significant human or equine injuries or illnesses and at least 90% of participants had a great time. We were pleased (and honored) to have a sizable group of Nez Perce youth and adults, visitors from Norway, Germany and England as well as the usual assortment from all across the U.S. and Canada. Thanks to the entire support crew for a great week!
